Fees That Reflect
What You Actually Hold.

Most fee structures reward the advisor for accumulating assets, regardless of effort or complexity. Ours are built differently. Priced by asset class, adjusted for the time your relationship genuinely requires, and designed to put more of your money to work.

Our Rates vs. Industry Standard

Traditional advisors charge a single flat percentage on your total assets regardless of what you hold. Maple Groove prices each asset class individually. The difference compounds every year.

0.70%Discretionary model portfolios

Every Maple Groove model portfolio is priced at a flat 0.70% a year on the assets in it, taken out as it accrues, in place of the asset-class rates above. Each fund's own fees are inside its prices.

* Base advisory fees only. Fund MERs and third-party transaction costs disclosed separately in your client agreement and annual fee disclosure statement as required by CIRO.

Beyond the Base Rate

A Fee That Moves With the Relationship

When More Time Is Required

The base rate is the starting point. For relationships that require a significant and sustained investment of time, including complex planning, frequent strategy sessions, and multi-entity structures, fees may be adjusted upward through an open, transparent conversation. There are no surprises. If the scope of work changes materially, we discuss it before anything changes.

When Less Time Is Required

Clients investing at a larger scale who require proportionally less of my time have a genuine opportunity to see their fees reduced below the base rate. You should not have to accumulate a specific dollar threshold just to earn a discount you may already deserve. If the work is lighter and the assets are substantial, the fee reflects that reality.

The $10 Million Checkpoint

At every $10 million milestone in total client assets under management, I pause to check in with existing clients before taking on additional growth. This is a deliberate choice. Capacity matters. Service quality matters. The clients already in the relationship deserve to know that growth is being managed thoughtfully, not chased indiscriminately. It is one of the ways Maple Groove remains a boutique practice rather than becoming a volume business.

The Maple Groove Advantage

Why the Numbers Are What They Are

Competitive fees are not a concession. They are a product of how this practice is built. Do not mistake low cost for low capability. The combination of credentials, technology, and structure here is uncommon in Canadian wealth management.

No Branch Overhead
No Branch Overhead

Operating without a physical branch network eliminates one of the largest fixed costs in traditional wealth management. That saving flows directly to you.

Lean by Design
Lean by Design

No layers of middle management, no redundant administrative infrastructure. A streamlined operation means every dollar of fee is working for your portfolio, not subsidizing bureaucracy.

Technology & Automation
Technology & Automation

A purpose-built tech stack, proprietary analytical tools, and automation in appropriate areas of the practice reduce manual effort and improve precision. No corners are cut where human judgment matters most.

Dual Licensing & Rare Capabilities
Dual Licensing & Rare Capabilities

Holding both investment dealer and financial planning credentials, alongside specialized options licensing, means fewer handoffs, fewer advisors, and a more coherent strategy. All of it under one advisor.

"Low fees should never be confused with limited value. Maple Groove exists for one reason: to keep more of Canadians' hard-earned wealth in Canadian hands, and to grow it with the same precision and access that has historically been reserved for institutional investors."
